5Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on CD  Sep 03, 2010
This CD was just as mesmerizing as the book except I could do other things while I listened! I didn't want to put stop listening! Jim Dale is great with the voices for the characters. I could picture the frail Olivander talking about the Hallows and feel Harry's pain as he manually dug the grave by the sea. This is the end of the Happy Potter series but you will definately want to start from the beginning of the series to know what other trials Harry faced and how he got to this point.

5Wow...  Aug 28, 2010
The book/series is extremely popular and doesn't need my review. Instead I will speak to the service. Got the book as promised, very happy.

4Excellent  Aug 23, 2010
This book is a fitting ending to the series, and a page-turner. I was sorry to see some of the characters die...some were complete surprises, others I was expecting. The only thing that stuck out to me as a bit silly was the whole "you can't magic food" thing - that seemed strange to me, random, like it was added in to make Harry's struggle more difficult. Other than that, it's an excellent read, a modern psychological mytholology in and of itself, and one that's sure to last the ages.

5Amazing!  Aug 22, 2010
Well, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is by JK Rowling so that should set up a pretty high standard for you (if you're a Harry Potter fan). Let me just say that this book goes above and beyond expectations. Twists and turns follow suspense and hints of romance. As Harry becomes an adult wizard, he is constantly trying to run from Death Eaters and destroy the mysterious Horcruxes. SPOILER ALERT! The Deathly Hallows are three objects previously owned by the Peverell brothers. They are magnificent and dangerous. At first they may seem like minor legendary details, but without these the story would be incomplete. SPOILER ALERT (again)! Snape's history was to me the most interesting chapter, especially his more-than-friendship with none other thatn Lily Potter herself! You have got to read this, even though I just ruined the ending. Rowling's writing is the same as always, brilliant and Voldemort (sorry, You-Know-Who) is rising to power as never before. Happy devouring!

1Worst Ending of All Time!  Aug 22, 2010
It's astounding just how bad this book is! From the very beginning to the very end, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a tedious, boring mess. This book is just boring! The trio aren't interesting anymore! Ron just yells at Harry for being an idiot, Hermione is completely useless now, and Harry basically just sulks throughout the whole movie, and I'm supposed to root for this guy? Harry constantly changes from being a totally unlikeable character into a supposed hero who everyone looks up to. But the biggest insult is the ending of the dreadful book. I'm not gonna get into it because of spoilers, but for the record, I was so upset at this ending, so annoyed at how god-awful it was, that I wanted to burn the book. Not only is it extremely cliched and predictable, but it makes no sense at all! Here's how I would end this series:

At the end of the book, when Harry and Voldemort (also the stupidest name ever!) are having there apparent epic yet still boring fight, Ron or anyone else with a brain, runs up behind Voldemort and simply bashes his head in with a rock or something. Or better yet, to completely abandon any sense of tension, why not just have Harry buy a sniper rifle? Once all the horcruxes, or however you spell that, are destroyed, instead of being stupid and risking your life, why not just buy a sniper rifle and end the book in 1 page?! Seriously, this totally would have worked! And if Voldemort needs Harry to live, then just kill Harry too, and spare us the tacked on epilogue and cliched teenage angst.

Bottom line, this book is horrible! It's ending sucks, it's beginning sucks, it's middle part sucks, it's characters are boring, it's not tense or the least bit frightening, it's just awful, god-awful.
